40 Days for Life campaign set to begin Feb. 17 in Rochester, Ithaca

Individuals and groups are invited to join the 40 Days for Life spring campaign taking place in both Rochester and Ithaca.

The vigils are set to begin Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, and extend through Palm Sunday, March 28. Both events will be marked by constant, peaceful prayer as part of an international effort to end abortion.

In Rochester, participants will assemble outside the Planned Parenthood facility at 114 University Ave. f0r 40 c0nsecutive days from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visit www.40daysforlife.com/rochester for details and to sign up for prayer vigil times. In Ithaca, those taking part are asked to pray — also from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily — in the public right-of-way area across the street from Planned Parenthood, 620 W. Along with the Lenten initiative, 40 Days for Life also conducts annual fall campaigns in Rochester and Ithaca, with the most recent ones having taken place from Sept. 23 to Nov. 1, 2020.
