Eight-year-old Erin Day of Kenmore, N.Y., in the Diocese of Buffalo, made her first Communion in Rochester April 26. Erin’s dad, Tim, is currently awaiting a heart transplant at Strong Memorial Hospital and is unable to travel, so arrangements were made to celebrate the sacrament at Strong’s interfaith chapel, with Bishop Emeritus Matthew H. Clark presiding. Click here to read our story on the liturgy.
