The Mental Health Association will offer sessions for professional and lay communities titled "Help Me, I’m Sad": Recognizing, Treating and Preventing Childhood and Adolescent Depression, featuring psychiatrist Dr. David Fassler. The session will be offered twice: from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, with both sessions at Unity Health System’s Education Center, 1555 Long Pond Road, Rochester. The session is designed for family members, social workers, teachers and counselors, case managers, therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, EAP providers and others who work with children and adolescents. The cost is $20 for professionals, $15 for students and no charge for family members.
