ROCHESTER — The documentary film “American Harvest” will open Friday, June 6, at The Little Theatre, 240 East Ave.
A panel discussion with Sister Janet Korn, SSJ, social-justice awareness coordinator for diocesan Catholic Charities; Jim Allen, president of the New York Apple Association; and “American Harvest” director Angelo Mancuso, a Rochester native, will follow the 6:30 p.m. screening of the film on Saturday, June 7.
For the documentary Mancuso interviewed migrant workers — with documents and without — and the farmers caught in the midst of the immigration debate. He and his crew went to more than a dozen states and Mexico during filming. The film also was screened in April at Nazareth College in Pittsford.
