Andy’s Mountain benefits Elmira’s needy

“Andy’s Mountain” – As part of the upcoming “March Out Hunger” event, two students from Elmira’s Holy Family Middle School, Andy Wichtowski and Andy Spalone, piled half of the school’s donated food in the front hall. The final total will be announced at the event next Tuesday, Oct. 4, when students from a dozen local schools meet to bring 20,000 donated items to the Samaritan Center of Elmira. The students will be joined by some senior citizen groups for the March Out Hunger Parade, which begins at noon in the Elmira Top’s Market parking lot.
