Christmas is a season for family customs, and the Catholic Courier is hoping readers will add its annual multimedia Advent calendar to those traditions.

The 2017 calendar, which can be found at, features 23 windows hiding multimedia “treats.” The first window unlocks Dec. 3, and visitors will be able to unveil a different digital treat each day through Dec. 25. Among the surprises visitors will find are cooking and craft demonstrations, Scripture readings and other seasonal activities happening around the diocese.

The calendar also will feature all the entries in the Courier’s Advent coloring and photography contests. For more information on entering the contests, see page 19 or visit
