The Rochester Rhinos soccer team is seeking parish representatives to participate in a "Faith Futbol Match" at noon Sunday, Sept. 13, at Marina Auto Stadium. The match will take place prior to the 3 p.m. Rhinos game against Puerto Rico.
The Rhinos are recruiting one priest, youth minister or other parish leader per church to play in an 11-vs.-11 soccer game, and an additional priest or pastoral representative to serve as an honorary coach for the game.
The "Faith Futbol Match" also will be a fundraiser for parishes; each parish that sells tickets for the match will receive half of the money from the ticket sales, and the tickets will include admission to the Rhinos game immediately following.
