St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Auburn has planned a June 26 farewell dinner for Father Peter DeBellis at the Holiday Inn, 75 North St., Auburn.
A cash bar will begin at 5 p.m., and the sit-down dinner of baked scrod, chicken picata or London-broil steak will begin at 6 p.m. Tickets to the dinner are $25 and must be purchased from the parish by June 20.
Father DeBellis grew up in the Auburn parish and has been pastor there since 2002. Before coming to Auburn he served as parochial vicar for the Roman Catholic Community of Geneva, Our Mother of Sorrows Parish in Greece and worked with the Hispanic communities in Rochester and Brockport.
Tickets may be purchased at the St. Francis rectory office, 299 Clark St. For more information contact the parish at 315/252-7593. No tickets will be sold at the door.
