St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Auburn will hold a chicken barbecue Aug. 12 and its annual parish festival Aug. 13.
The chicken barbecue will run from noon until 6 p.m., and tickets may be purchased at the parish office for $7. Each dinner will include chicken and servings of two of the three side dishes available, which are corn on the cob, baked beans and salt potatoes. Take-out dinners will be available.
Between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Aug. 13, festival-goers can enjoy a wide variety of Italian and American foods, including raw and steamed clams, desserts and flavored Italian ice. The festival also will feature raffles, prizes and games for the entire family.
