Musica Spei, a Rochester-based a cappella choral group, will perform a concert at 3 p.m. June 4 at St. Mary Parish, 15 Clark St., Auburn.
The group will perform a complete performance of The Requiem for 6 Voices by Tomas Luis de Victoria, as well as music by Josquin, Guerrero and Ockeghem.
Musica Spei, which means “music of hope,” was formed in 1995 and specializes in unaccompanied choral masterworks of the Renaissance period. Musica Spei will perform the same concert at 7:30 p.m. June 2 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 183 N. Main St., Canandaigua; and at 8 p.m. June 3 at St. Anne Parish, 1600 Mount Hope Ave., Rochester.
