Auburn parish slates Polish fest, car raffle

St. Hyacinth Parish in Auburn will hold its 104th-annual Polish Festival June 28 from noon until 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the church, located at 61 Pulaski St.

The picnic will feature pony rides, a basket raffle, a children’s area, a clown and music by the Prison City Ramblers and Fritz Polka Band. There also will be Polish foods, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza fritte, dessert, and coffee, soda, beer and wine.

The winner of the parish’s annual car raffle will be drawn at the picnic. Tickets may be purchased for $100 apiece, and the raffle’s one winner may choose either a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu LT, a 2009 Chevrolet HHR or a 2009 Pontiac G6. The raffle is sponsored by St. Hyacinth and Summit Auto Group.
