Auburn parish will host food festival

St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Auburn will hold its annual Food Festival Aug. 19.

The parish will hold a procession with the statue of Our Lady after the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Tents will be set up in the parking lot, and between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. people can enjoy a variety of Italian and other foods, including eggplant, baked ziti with meatballs, pizza fritte, sausage with or without peppers and onions, hot dogs, hamburgers, steamed and raw clams, pizza, chicken gizzards with sauce, homemade cakes, wandies, cannoli, Italian-flavored ice, beer, soda, water and coffee.

There also will be face painting and games available for children, and raffles for adults.
