Auburn school hosts ‘Mary’ screening

This month St. Joseph School in Auburn will host two showings of the new movie "Mary of Nazareth" at the Fingerlakes Mall, which is located on Routes 5 and 20 just west of Auburn. The showings will be held Dec. 6 at 6 p.m. and Dec. 7 at 2 p.m.

The film, which runs for two and a half hours, is about the life of Mary, the mother of God, and aims to capture the essence of her profound faith and trust in God, her compassionate humanity and concern for others, and her deep love for her son, according to the film’s website, www.MaryFilm.com. Although the film is not rated, its creators say it is not suitable for children under 11 due to some intensely violent scenes, including but not limited to crucifixion scenes.

Tickets may be purchased for $8 apiece ahead of time or $10 apiece at the door. For more information or to order tickets, contact St. Joseph School at 315-253-8327.
