Auburn students help retire flags

Members of Boy Scout Troop 58 and students from St. Joseph School in Auburn worked together during a Nov. 14 flag retirement ceremony at the Fleming Fire House in Fleming, Cayuga County. Students collected unserviceable flags for several weeks at the school and helped incinerate roughly 2,000 flags during the event.
