Eighth-grade students at St. Joseph’s School in Auburn are leading a winter-clothing drive in conjunction with the school’s Works of Mercy Service Committee.
As part of their religion class, the students are in charge of creating and putting up posters, collecting donations and helping distribute the donated clothes at the end of the drive.
The school will be accepting donations of coats, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, boots, snow pants and sweaters until Oct. 29. Donors are asked to call the school office before dropping off items.
In early October, students in preschool through eighth grade kicked off a magazine-sale fundraiser, and they will be selling subscriptions until Oct. 20.
For more information on the magazine sale or the winter-clothing drive, contact the school at 315/253-8327.
