A Catholic thinker will talk about the role young adults may play in the church in the future.
Catholic theologian and writer Tim Muldoon will speak on "The Next Generation: Spiritual and Religious?" at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, at Nazareth College’s Shults Community Center Forum as part of the William H. Shannon Chair in Catholic Studies 2010-11 lecture series.
Muldoon also will speak on "Young Adults Speak Out" at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at the college’s Golisano Academic Center, which is located at 4245 East Ave., Pittsford.
Muldoon works in the Office of University Mission and Ministry and teaches in the arts and sciences honors program at Boston College. He is the inaugural director of the Church in the 21st Century Center at Boston College and chaired the department of religious studies, philosophy and theology at St. Aloysius College. Among his books are Longing to Love: A Memoir of Desire, Relationships and Spiritual Transformation (2010) and Seeds of Hope: Young Adults and the Catholic Church in the United States (2008).
