To the editor:
Americans have always protected weaker countries and people; some have worked well (our allies during the World Wars and the liberation of Kuwait), some not so well (Vietnam). No one likes war or fighting but many, many brave women and men have protected and defended us through the years, as they are doing today. I respect, thank, applaud and tip my hat to them and their families. We help other countries and we pitch in to help our own such as the sick, disabled, underprivileged, those affected by catastrophic events and those less fortunate.
There is one other fight we have been fighting for 30 plus years and it is not over. You do not need to be in the military service to fight this battle, just in God’s service. That is the fight to protect the unborn, the most innocent of all. This election year, let’s work together to protect babies in the womb. Let your vote be heard loud and clear as anti-abortion candidates continue to get elected. This battle does not need guns, just prayers and a ballot.
