Bishop Matthew H. Clark will present some insights about the Catholic Church from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 9 at St. John School in Clyde.
Bishop Clark’s presentation will be the first installment of the 2007-08 Family Education Program, which is sponsored by St. John the Evangelist Parish in Clyde and St. Patrick Parish in Savannah. Through this program, a different speaker visits the parish each month from September through April to talk about a topic of interest to Catholics.
Future installments of the Family Education Program will look at violence, Mother Teresa, women in the Bible, divorce, prayer and Islam.
Future presenters include Rochester Democrat and Chronicle columnist Mark Hare and SUNY Geneseo professor Dr. Bill Cook.
These events are free and open to the public.
