Eight Bishop Kearney students have been awarded scholarships from the Italian Heritage Foundation of Rochester. The foundation donated a total of $15,000 in scholarship funds to Kearney, which recommended students for the awards.
During a recent ceremony at Bishop Kearney, Foundation President Joseph L. Carbone, DPM, and Scholarship Committee Chair Albert Mercury, Esq., presented a plaque to the school, commemorating the scholarship donation.
Bishop Kearney students receiving the scholarships are (L to R in the attached photo): Tahime Menelas and Joseph Gause of Irondequoit; Guiliana Pietrantoni, Brendan Flaherty and Julia Sullivan of Greece; and Jason Purvee Samuel Jelfo and John Tran of Rochester.
