Bishop Salvatore R. Matano has announced the following pastoral appointments, which took effect on the dates noted:
• Sister of Mercy Sheila Stevenson to a one-year term as pastoral administrator of St. Marianne Cope, Henrietta, effective June 25. She replaces pastoral administrator Barbara Swiecki, who died June 13.
• Father Carlos M. Sánchez to parochial vicar, Church of the Assumption and Church of the Resurrection, Fairport, effective July 9, while continuing part-time ministry as chaplain at Strong Memorial and Highland hospitals, Rochester. Father Sánchez had been parochial vicar at Peace of Christ, Rochester.
• Father Sergio O. Chávez to a three-month leave of absence effective July 9 from parochial vicar, Church of the Assumption and Church of the Resurrection, Fairport, in order to attend to the needs of his family in Bogotá, Columbia.
