On June 5, the eve of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, Corpus Christi, Rochester’s Holy Sepulchre Cemetery hosted a eucharistic procession and solemn Benediction. The procession, which was led by Bishop Salvatore R. Matano, began at the Christ Our Light Mausoleum and proceeded through the cemetery. Bishop Matano revived an old tradition of blessing graves, and he also prayed for those who died during the pandemic and all those interred at Holy Sepulchre, which this year is celebrating its 150th anniversary.
