First responders were recognized during a Sept. 11 Mass at Rochester’s Sacred Heart Cathedral to mark the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States. Local police officers, firefighters and ambulance workers attended the Mass, which was celebrated by Bishop Salvatore R. Matano.
