Bishop re-dedicates St. John of Rochester Church

On Jan. 10 Bishop Salvatore R. Matano celebrated the Mass of re-dedication for Fairport’s St. John of Rochester Church, which recently underwent renovations. Bishop Matano also consecrated the church’s new altar. The new altar, ambo and chairs for servers, presider and deacons were created by John Dodd, the same artist who made much of the furniture for Rochester’s Sacred Heart Cathedral. After the Mass Bishop Matano stayed in the church’s new narthex to greet a long line of parishioners.
