Black Catholic saints to be celebrated at Rochester parish

Immaculate Conception/St. Bridget Church is collaborating with the Black Catholic Coalition of Rochester to present “An Evening with the Saints” Feb. 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the church, 445 Frederick Douglass St., Rochester.

The event will celebrate Black History Month by honoring Servant of God Julia Greeley with a performance by Almeta Whitis, a member of Just Poets, and a presentation on St. Josephine Bakhita by Yvonne Thorne, a BCCR board member.

The public is invited to attend.
