Blessed by experience

To the editor:

On May 22 this year we experienced another beautiful Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Mendon, for the First Eucharist Mass and sharing in the gift of the Eucharist with the First Communion Class of 2005.

The service was so uplifting to us grandparents as well.

We were welcomed with God’s love from Gail Brooks and Phyllis Hogen and, of course, Fr. James Lawlor.

Father sure shows God’s love to all. The way Fr. Lawlor explained to the children the love of Jesus and what they were experiencing that day and forever was beautiful and touching. Gail is a great spiritual teacher as well. We went to the class a few weeks before with our granddaughter, and it was a blessing. The children are sure being taught the love of Jesus. I myself taught classes for years and to us this was the best we have seen.

The people at St. Catherine of Siena Church are very lucky to have such good spiritual people as Gail and Phyllis, and, of course, Fr. Lawlor. We cannot say enough. Father, you are a true gift from God.

We really love St. Catherine of Siena and all of you. May God bless you all to continue His work.
