To the editor:
I have read the book, The DaVinci Code, and do not feel any threat to my faith or insult to my religious heritage. I read it long ago, with only an inkling of what it was about. I was delighted to find a fast-paced who-done-it all set in a little known fringe organization of the church, the politics of the Vatican and beautiful Paris. If your faith is that brittle to be destroyed by a make believe story then stay away from the book and movie, but don’t criticize.
I look forward to seeing the movie, mostly because of my admiration for Tom Hanks as an actor. However, I have some reservations as to whether or not the movie will deliver the same excitement as the book.
