Even though the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the national March for Life will continue in Washington, D.C., and there will be buses heading to the event from the Diocese of Rochester.

The 50th-annual march will take place Friday, Jan. 20, 2023. Chartered buses from the diocese are scheduled to leave late Thursday evening, Jan. 19, and return home late the following night.

Two buses will depart from Holy Spirit Church in Webster/Penfield at 10 p.m. Jan. 19. Cost for the trip is $45 and includes bus transportation to the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, where special Masses will be celebrated at 7:30 a.m. and 10 a.m., and bus transportation from the basilica to the “speaker’s platform” on the National Mall for the March for Life Rally. Attendees also will participate in the march from the Washington Monument to the U.S. Capitol.

After the event, buses will leave from Union Station in Washington, D.C., and are expected to arrive at Holy Spirit Church around midnight Jan. 21.
