‘Caesar’ not the answer

To the editor:

2,000+ years ago Pilot, a servant of Caesar, brought our Lord before the people and said, "Behold the king of the Jews." In response, the crowd cried back, "We serve no king but Caesar."

1776 years later there was a cry in Lexington and Concord, we serve no king but Christ, and a nation was born that put God above all. Our rights come from God and not men.

Here in this country we believe that our freedom comes from God and not men.

These are the things that make us different than any other nation.

On top of the Washington monument it says, "Praise be to God." No other building in Washington is built higher than that monument because we believe nothing is above God.

Unfortunately today we hear the godless and those who have been misled by them, preaching the salvation of Caesar. They would have him decide who lives and who dies with nationalized health. They would have you covet your neighbor’s house, property and money. They preach class warfare, which is hate and leads to violence. They worship their golden calves of fair share and social justice. These are things that have to come from your heart and not Caesar.

Christ has told us to give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and give to God what is God’s. God’s are faith, hope and charity. Caesar’s is to protect and defend our freedom. If you desire a job, a house or money, seek first the kingdom of God and all of these things will be given to you.

May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Let us pray that the blind may see.
