Coloring/Art Contest 

The Catholic Courier is holding a coloring contest and an art contest for children ages 3-12 years old. The coloring contest is for children ages 3-6 years old and the art contest is for children ages 7-12 years old. Details for each contest are below.


Coloring Contest Details:

For children ages 3 to 6

The Catholic Courier is holding a coloring contest for children ages 3 to 6. There will be two age categories, 3 & 4 year olds and 5 & 6 year olds. We are asking children to do their best coloring of the image provided. They can use crayons and/or colored pencils to color the image. Then with their parents' help, we want them to mail us their colored picture or take a picture of their colored image and email it to us. People will then vote on the best colored photo in each age category. The two photos (one in each age category) with the most votes will win a prize. All photos will be shown in as part of our Advent Calendar in December.

RULES: 

1. Print and color the Three Kings scene picture (Click here to print picture)

2. Once finished coloring, take a photo of your colored picture and email the photo to gcapellazzi@catholiccourier.com or mail your colored picture to

(Colored pictures will not be returned to sender following contest)

(In your email or with your mailed colored picture, please include your child's full name, what parish you belong to or what Catholic school your child attends and your child's age. Also, include an email address or phone number where we can reach you if your child wins our contest. If you mail in the colored photo, we ask that you put that information on a separate piece of paper and not on the colored picture.)

3. The deadline to email/mail photos is November 25. (Deadline has been extended to December 2!)

VOTING:

1. Starting December 3, head to the Catholic Courier’s website to vote for the best photo.
(Although submissions will also be posted on Facebook, voting will take place exclusively on our website)

2. There will be two age categories: 3-4 year and 5-6 year olds

3. The last day to vote for your favorite photo is December 17, 2015. (You can vote once a day until December 17.)

4. The winners will be announced on December 18, 2015. There will be one winner in each age category. Winners will be notified regarding their prizes. 


Art Contest Details:

For children ages 7 to 12

The Catholic Courier is holding an art contest for children ages 7 to 12. There will be two age categories, 7, 8 and 9 year olds and 10, 11 & 12 year olds. We are asking children to do their best art design of the image provided. Children can use any art supplies they want( ex: crayons, paint, markers, glitter, glitter glue, construction paper, feathers, etc.) to decorate and enhance the picture. For example: They can use glitter for the stars or make a neat pattern using sequin for the kings' robes. Then with their parents' help, we want them to mail us their picture or take a picture of their decorated picture and email it to us. The two photos (one in each category) with the most votes will win a prize. All photos will be shown as part of our Advent Calendar in December.
