An opening ceremony for the annual Field of Honor on the grounds of St. Mary Church in Canandaigua took place Nov. 7. More than 120 American flags will be displayed through Nov. 12 on the grassy lot adjacent to the church to honor veterans, service members, first responders or personal heroes. Proceeds from the sale of flags will benefit Gleaners Community Kitchen and Canandaigua Churches in Action.
