St. Mary’s Parish in Canandaigua is sponsoring a blood drive for the American Red Cross June 27 from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Dougherty Hall, 95 N. Main St. Light beverages and snacks will be served to donors.
This event marks the parish’s second time sponsoring a blood drive. St. Mary’s held a drive last June in memory of Father Emmett J. Halloran, who had passed away earlier that spring. Father Halloran had lived and served at St. Mary’s since his 1996 retirement from St. Patrick’s Parish in Macedon.
Anyone interested in donating blood should make an appointment by calling the parish at 585/394-1220 or picking an available time listed on the sign-up sheets, which will be available at the entrance to Dougherty Hall June 18-19.
