More than 1oo candidates and catechumens participating in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program in the Diocese of Rochester gathered at Sacred Heart Cathedral March 6 for the Rite of Election and Call to Continuing Conversion. Bishop Salvatore R. Matano celebrated the rite, during which catechumens signed their names in the Book of the Elect and candidates were invited to stand before Bishop Matano.
