The Cathedral Community will host a series of three discussions about end-of-life planning.
"Transitions: Learning About End-of-Life Planning" will feature Estate Planning Attorney Christen Culligan Bruu, who will speak on legal and ethical aspects on Thursday, Oct. 13. Funeral Director Joe Tomasso and Joan Workmaster, retired director of the diocesan office of liturgy, will speak on Catholic Church teaching and funeral pre-planning on Thursday, Oct. 20. Planning the funeral liturgy will be the topic Oct. 27, and the discussion will be led by the Cathedral Community’s Parochial Vicar Father Edison Tayag, Pastoral Associate Rose Davis, Music Minister Ginny Miller, Workmaster and Cathy Spoto, chairwoman of the Cathedral Community Ministry of Consolation.
All the presentations will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the cathedral convent’s multipurpose room, 287 Flower City Park, which is across the street from the cathedral in Rochester.
