Cathedral Community teens are getting set to dance all night to benefit relief efforts for the Darfur region of Sudan.
Following a 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, April 25, parish dance at Most Precious Blood Parish, 219 Stenson St., Rochester, youths will dance from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. during a dance marathon. Parishioners are invited to sponsor an hour at the dance marathon for $50 or to support the marathon in other ways. Tickets for the parish dance are $5 and are on sale following Masses.
The Darfur region has been the subject of several years of ethnic cleansing. Thousands have been displaced from their homes and are living in camps run by relief agencies.
