Catholic Charities of Tompkins/Tioga is collecting new backpacks and school supplies (pens, pencils, notebooks, erasers, pencil sharpeners, etc.) to distribute to students whose families are in financial need.
Donations can be brought to the Catholic Charities office, 324 W. Buffalo St., Ithaca, or dropped off in a collection box at the back of your church. Items will be collected through Aug. 25. Gift cards and check donations also are welcomed toward this effort.
