Charles Nocera has been appointed executive director of Catholic Charities of Chemung/Schuyler (CCCS) effective June 1. Nocera had served as the agency’s associate executive director since 2012, and also was its director of residential programs. Nocera previously logged 18 years as executive director of the American Red Cross of Tompkins County, and has nearly 40 years of leadership experience with both nonprofit and government organizations.
CCCS offers numerous programs and services for those in need. Its main office is located at 215 E. Church St. in Elmira. In addition, the agency held an open house May 29 for its newest facility, at 309 Hoffman St. in Elmira.
