Rochester’s Catholic Family Center recently was accredited as a provider of intercountry adoption services.
The New York-based Council on Accreditation, which is an independent, not-for-profit accreditor authorized by the U.S. Department of State, confirmed the agency is accredited to provide adoption services in connection with adoptions under the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Intercountry Adoption. This accreditation is valid through March 31, 2022.
During the accreditation process, the Council on Accreditation thoroughly reviewed and analyzed Catholic Family Center’s administration, management and service-delivery functions to see how they adhered to international standards of best practice. After conducting this review and analysis, as well as a series of on-site interviews with trustees, staff and clients, the Council on Accreditation’s specially trained peer reviewers confirmed that Catholic Family Center, which is the Greater Rochester region’s largest provider of comprehensive family services, adhered to the standards required for accreditation.
