Catholic schools need support of parents, state

To the editor:

Now is the time to BUILD Catholic schools and not to close any grades in a Catholic school. As we know by the news, our public education system is in crisis. Money will not solve these problems! Parents must realize the importance of education and support the teachers. I have found this in Catholic education throughout the schools I have visited in New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina. Children’s education is the best and most important experience in their lives!

This is the reason I am in favor of School Choice. Fifteen states have school vouchers. … Catholic education is very expensive for families of medium and low incomes. Our government needs to support School Choice. Our Catholic Church needs to financially support Catholic Schools. Children are our future. They are worth the investment!
