As part of the annual Catholic Courier lecture series, John Garvey, president of Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., gave a lecture on “The New Religion Wars” at Sacred Heart Cathedral Sept. 15. Garvey, one of the nation’s leading scholars on religious liberty, described several religious-freedom concerns in the United States.
