Catholics reflect on Day of Penance and Mercy

Catholic from across the diocese were invited to participate in the fifth-annual Day of Penance and Mercy March 28. Priests were available at all diocesan parishes from 12:30 to 7:30 p.m. for parishioners who wished to pray or receive the sacrament of reconciliation. The Catholic Courier visited Our Mother of Sorrows Church in Greece and Rochester’s Sacred Heart Cathedral, which welcomed Catholics wishing to receive the sacrament.
