Catholic Charities of Livingston County has been awarded a $12,000 grant from the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation to support the Faith in Action program.
Faith in Action annually provides volunteer services to approximately 150 area senior citizens who are in need of such assistance as transportation, help with grocery shopping, light housekeeping, yard work, minor home repairs, friendly visits for the homebound and short-term respite for caregivers. The Faith in Action initiative, which benefits from the collaborative efforts of several Livingston County agencies, is celebrating 10 years of service in Livingston County in 2012.
