Saint’s Place and its founder, Colleen Knauf, will be honored March 15 during Catholic Family Center’s 21st-Annual St. Patrick’s Day Charity Gala. Knauf and the ministry will receive the 2013 CFC Award, which is given each year to a person or group whose service to the community’s poor and vulnerable is exemplary. Saint’s Place is a volunteer organization that provides household goods, clothing and education to legal refugees of all races and creeds who settle in the Rochester area, and it works closely with CFC’s refugee-resettlement program.
