Local charities can use your items. Details are in the 2011-12 Community Wishbook, a publication of wish lists of more than 200 local charities, including many organizations with Catholic ties. Volunteer opportunities also are listed. Copies of the wishbook are available at town and branch libraries, Greece Ridge Mall, Eastview Mall, Tops Friendly Markets and at free-literature racks in the community through the end of January.
