Bishop Matthew H. Clark will preside at the 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 296 Flower City Park, Rochester. The Mass will remember and honor firefighters, first responders and all those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. All are welcome to attend, and a special invitation is extended to firefighters and first responders to participate in this liturgy.

Additionally, St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 34 St. Stanislaus St., Rochester, will have special prayers for peace during the 4 p.m. Mass on Sept. 11 at the church, which is at the corner of Hudson Avenue and Norton Street. The Mass will honor all those who died during the terrorist attacks, all those who serve in the military and in law enforcement protecting freedom, and first responders including firefighters and medical attendants. The congregation also will pray for peace in the world, including those in government who make decisions about war and peace.
