To the editor:
A mother is a very important role that the Lord chooses for women, honored recently on Mother’s Day. This includes adoptive mothers — there are over 2 million couples waiting to adopt — step and foster mothers, grandmothers, godmothers, aunts, and those who have lost children prior to and after their birth.
For those who are pro-choice (pro-abortion), please consider the following: day 1 — a life starts; day 18 — heart beating; day 28 — eye, ear and respiratory system begins forming; 7 weeks — thumb-sucking photo, 16 weeks — grasps, kicks, swims and turns; 18 weeks -– can cry; 20 weeks -– has hair and weighs 1 pound. At 24 weeks, 56 percent of babies survive premature birth; this increases to 79 percent at 25 weeks.
This baby is not a choice; this is a child, this is a human, this is a miracle! Please pray for ALL expectant parents. Per Psalm 127, behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward.
