To the editor:
With reference to the letter by Michael J. Nicosia published in the January 2009 issue of the Catholic Courier, I fail to understand why a paper which calls itself Catholic would print a letter from someone obviously dedicated to attacking the position of the church concerning so called “same sex marriages”?
The teaching of the church has been consistent throughout the centuries: love the sinner, hate the sin and sodomy in any guise is a sin.
Now a group of disgruntled individuals is claiming the right to marital benefits which some states have sanctioned. What happened to separation of Church and state?

EDITOR’S NOTE: Mr. Nicosia’s letter did not discuss same-sex marriage.
