St. Francis Outreach Ministries will be the beneficiary of the Eighth Annual Ecumenical Benefit Concert at 7 p.m. May 18 at Pearce Memorial Church, 4322 Buffalo Road, North Chili, near Roberts Wesleyan College.
The event, which is sponsored by the Westside Coalition of Christian Churches, features no admission, but a free-will offering will be taken for St. Francis Outreach Ministries, a local effort to help those in need with donations of food, household items and emergency cash.
The nonprofit was started in 1988 by Catholic Deacon Angelo Coccia to help those in poverty and those who have had an emergency, such as a tragedy, fire or loss of employment. It is run totally by volunteers who give their time and talent freely. Catholic churches participating include St. Christopher in North Chili, St. Pius Tenth in Chili and St. Theodore in Gates
