A local conference will feature five speakers from different religions and is aimed at exploring key themes in interfaith understanding. The conference is being organized by the Center for Interfaith Studies and Dialogue at Nazareth College.
The Interfaith Understanding Conference will take place April 11-13 and will feature Benedictine Sister Joan Chittister, founder and executive director of Benetvision; Dr. Eboo Patel, founder and executive director of Interfaith Youth Core; Rabbi Brad Hirschfield, author and president of CLAL, the National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership; Dr. P. Jayaraman, executive director of Bhavan’s Centre; and Sensei Myotai Treace, founder of the Bodies of Water School of Zen Buddhism.
Registration for the three-day conference is $175 and includes meals. There is a group rate of $1,500 per table of 10, which includes meals. There also is an introduction to interfaith special, which is $40 including dinner and an introduction to interfaith issues talk at 6:30 p.m. April 12.
