All Saints Parish has announced the final sale of its St. Patrick Church property, nearly seven years after the church closed.
According to a Sept. 14 parish bulletin notice, Corning Property Management Corp. purchased the property for $550,000, leaving a net profit for All Saints of $487,000.
The parish will use approximately $48,000 to pay the balance of its property insurance to the Rochester Diocese as well as a Catholic Ministries Appeal shortfall from last year. The remaining profit will be put toward capital needs.
St. Patrick Parish was founded in 1904, and the church at 274 Denison Parkway opened in 1932. It closed in late 2001 due to mounting repair expenses and a projected decline in priest availability.
