Corning woman launches business selling religious items

Gloria House, a parishioner of All Saints in Corning, has set up shop for religious items right in her own home.

In late 2009 House began a business offering new and used Christian items including books, statues, crucifixes, jewelry, rosaries, pamphlets, religious cards and T-shirts. Open-house viewings are available. If a desired item is not in stock, House can special order it.

As part of her business House also arranges pilgrimages; she’s currently putting together an 11-day trip to Italy in October. House, who is active with her local St. Pius X Secular Franciscan group, said she considers her enterprise to be an apostolate so as to enhance people’s faith.
